HCC Studies
HCC Studies are Bible studies that will be taught twice a year by the pastoral staff or people trained specifically to teach the topic of the class. Look out for another semester of classes in the Fall!

Intercessory Prayer Team
This team meets every Saturday at 9:30 a.m. to pray for the church and the pastoral staff. We have many people who are available and wanting to pray for you; we believe in the power of prayer.
Kidzland
Children are very important to us. We have the infrastructure down for a great children's ministry. No more worrying about where the kids should be while you are worshipping!

Current Sermon Series!
AugustWe are in a sermon series on the "Heroes of the Bible." This past Sunday (August 29th) Rev. James Byun (lead pastor) spoke from 2 Chronicles 17-20 entitled "Seek, Pray, Turn."
Collecting Donations
SeptemberFor the next couple Sundays, the Outreach Ministry will be collecting toiletry items to distribute during our outreach events (soap, toothpaste, deodorant, washcloths, feminine products, etc.) Please drop off donations in the box by the Connection Desk on Sunday - or - the pastoral office from Tuesday to Saturday.
Community Groups
September 3Our normal community groups for this week are postponed until the following week due to our monthly SuperGroups/SuperKidz gathering.
SuperGroups/SuperKidz
September 3SuperGroups & SuperKidz will be THIS Friday, September 3rd at 7:30pm for the month of September. SuperGroups is our monthly small group celebration gathering. Come out for a night of joint worship and discussion time! SuperKidz is an exciting Kids program taught by our very own pastoral staff.
Outreach Luncheon Meeting
September 4There will be an outreach meeting this Saturday, September 4th at 11:15am in room 204. We will be eating lunch and talking about the next outing to Washington D.C., as well as the future direction of the ministry.
Labor Day Joint Picnic
September 6We will have an all-churchwide joint picnic on Monday, September 6th at Black Hill Regional Park from 10am-3pm. We are asking if people volunteer to bring steamed rice for our EC group. Volunteers are also needed to grill/prepare the food. Please sign up to volunteer here.
Concert of Prayer
September 12There will be a multi-church prayer concert hosted by Hanuri Korean Baptist Church on Sunday, September 12th starting at 5:30pm. Childcare will be provided. Come out as we pray together with other churches in the local area! HCC Worship Band will be leading praise.
"Next Generation" Mini-Conference
September 14Several English-speaking churches are coming together for a joint mini-conference/revival at KPC-Rockville on Tuesday, September 19th. It will be at 7pm; and Dr. Elijah Kim will be the speaker. Everyone is welcome to come!
Wildfire Conference
September 17-18
Journeymen, HCC’s men’s ministry will be going to the Wildfire Conference from 9/17-9/18 in Lynchburg, VA. Please sign-up at the connection desk or contact Danny Lee at journeymen(at)higherconnectionchurch(dot)org if you’d like to go. The cost is $39/person.
Usher/Greeter Training
September 18There will be a ushers/greeters training meeting on Saturday, September 18th from 9:30am-10:30am. All ushers and greeters of HCC should attend this meeting. For more information, contact Pastor Kyle Lewis at kyle(at)higherconnectionchurch(dot)org.
